Reception enjoyed a PlayPod session with their buddies today and their parents were there to see what it’s all about!

The children enjoyed building together, their teamwork skills and ability to solve problems was excellent. Take a look.

New Parents’ Open Events

Standard

Once again we are hosting a series of open events for parents that are looking for places for next year.

There is no need to book a place, just turn up and have a look around. The PTA are on hand offering a friendly face and tea and biscuits. Tours are conducted by our competent year 6 pupils and myself, the headteacher and the deputy headteacher, Mrs. Smith. There is plenty of work to look at and photos of our activities.

We are nearly there! The hard work and effort by Mrs Hughes, Miss Cosh and the pupils will most definitely be worth it when we join 8100 children this Wednesday at the Genting Arena in Birmingham for our first Young Voices.

If you haven’t found them, the lyrics and the parent PowerPoint are on our school’s music page on the website but I have added them to my blog to help a little.

You can access the documents via these links Young voices songs  Lyric Sheet

Family Tree Afternoon

Standard

mrsprice'sblog

Last Wednesday we had our first Reception family tree afternoon where family members joined our Reception children in the hall to talk about and share photographs of their families. Every child had a leaf to put their photographs on and spent the afternoon busily cutting and sticking special people to put on their leaves. The leaves have now been added to our own school family tree and displayed in the entrance to our Reception corridor. Thank you to everyone for sending in photographs to make the afternoon so special and to those who were able to join us.
